Are YOU up for the 2017 Physical Activity Summer Challenge? Every year, Inyo County Health & Human Services (Inyo HHS) offers summer hikes for families and kids in the Owens Valley area. Our goal is to promote physical activity while enjoying our beautiful valley.
Hikes are open to kids 8-years-old and up. Parents and guardians are welcome, too. Inyo HHS staff members organize hikes in north and south county each month of the summer and take groups to places with amazing scenery, such as Bristlecone Pines, Horseshoe Meadow, and Lone Pine Lake. Join us!
Hiking dates this year are on Tuesdays, meeting at 8:00am:
Lone Pine area
June 20
July 11
August 1
Bishop area
June 27
July 25
August 8
Inyo HHS offers transportation to the trailheads, but seating is limited. To sign up or for more information, call Eryn at Inyo County HHS, Public Health & Prevention Division, at 760-872-1886. Families are also welcome to carpool with us!
